Puerh Tea: Gold Leaf (pressed cake and tuochas)
Flavor Profie: This "shu" puerh ("ripe," or "black" puerh) yields a rich yet smooth palate with subtle sweet date flavor and deep finish. Cultivation & Processing: Unlike most of the other Yunnan Shu Pu-erh tea which use blended material from many different tea gardens, this pressed Gold Leaf puerh is entirely from one small garden and like all our teas, is 100% organically grown. We call it Gold Leaf due to the many gold leaves in the cakes, which come from plucking when each tender tea shoot still has a bud leaf on it. Steeping Guidelines: 3-5g (2-3 tsp) | 8oz | 208 F | 1-2 min | Steep at least three times. *Key note: The pressed teas require a knife to chip the tea apart for steeping. It is an ancient way of transporting tea and of maintaining its potency. It is an elegant display for novices and connoisseurs alike. The 4g tuocha buds are perfect for single servings in a cafe or restaurant. Just note that they can be re-steeped many times so it is a great value for the customer!
